Painting Autumn Leaves In Watercolor

Happy fall, ya'll!
Courtney Hopkins holding up a painting of fall leaves
The leaves are starting to turn here in the woods that I live in. I collected a bushel of rainbow colored ones that had fallen to the ground and brought them inside to paint. Here is a little step by step process video of how I did it.

This painting will be listed in the shop Saturday morning just in time for the Crozet Arts & Crafts Festival. It is completely virtual this year, so you can check out all of the participating artists and craftspeople right from home! We will even be available for virtual studio chats. The event is from 10am to 2pm est and more info can be found in the link above. I'm debating whether I should make prints of this piece or a different product like stationery cards or tea towels. Comment below if you have any specific ideas or requests!
For those who might be interested, I'm using Winsor & Newton watercolor paints on Strathmore Cold Pressed paper. My brushes are also Winsor & Newton, sizes 6 and 0.
Hope everyone can get a chance to get outside and see the changing leaves this season!
The original has sold, but I have a variety of other "Autumn Leaf" art prints and stationery available. View them all here:
