Have you ever wished you could create realistic texture in your graphite drawings, but always thought they were out of reach for you?
In this class, we’ll explore a variety of graphite tools and techniques that will help you achieve organic, natural looking texture in your landscape drawings. This is an advanced class that builds upon the skills we learned in my beginner class, “Intro to Dramatic Graphite Botanicals” and my intermediate class, “Blending Techniques for Naturalistic Graphite Drawing”.
I’ll be sharing some foundational knowledge about what makes a successful landscape scene so that you’ll have everything you need to feel empowered to create beautiful landscape drawings on your own, long after this class is over. We’ll be putting our newfound skills to the test with 3 landscape class projects: a light-filled grassy meadow with sunbeams bursting over the horizon, a craggy pine tree set against a backdrop of misty mountains, and a waterfall spilling over a cliffside and into a rocky stream.
