Have you ever wished you could beautifully blended graphite drawings, but always thought they were out of reach for you?
In this Intermediate class, we’ll explore a variety of graphite blending tools and techniques that will give your drawings a beautifully blended look. This class builds upon the skills we learned in my first class, “Intro to Dramatic Graphite Botanicals” so if you’re just starting out or need a refresher in the basics, that class will be a really helpful precursor to this one.
You'll gain a better understanding of how graphite powder, blending sticks, pan pastel sponges, paintbrushes, makeup sponges, cotton balls, q-tips, and rags can be used to elevate your artwork to the next level. We’ll put these tools into practice with our 4 class projects. Starting out with a satisfyingly simple maple leaf, we’ll gradually increase the complexity as we draw and blend a Nautilus shell, a feather, and an improved version of the acorn from class 1.
